In this 19th century, supernatural winter epic, a drunken merchant salesman must become a hero and become the greatest fur trapper in North America by defeating hundreds of beavers. Director Mike Cheslik estimates that the mascot costumes cost around $10,000, and the crew purchased all of the costumes online. After Watson’s Beaver “faints”; his mustache falls off & he falls standing up into the snow.
Funniest movie I’ve seen in years!

Lots of gratuitous beaver violence
I watched it in Columbus, Ohio. It’s like Wiley Coyote meets the Oregon Trail. I highly recommend it to anyone with an old-fashioned sense of humor!

The film’s dark humor is a welcome cinematic addition for audiences tired of preachy political films. Hundreds of Beavers is an example of what a group of independent filmmakers can do on a shoestring budget.
